I’d be an okay demon
depending on what kinds of evil tasks I was assigned
I’ve always been good at
completing what’s asked of me
my boundless spirit
glad to pick up instruction for a moment
and play at being domesticated
so maybe I could collect shattered souls
convince broken humans to sell their tattered glow
for a few days of honest happiness
or I could teach lessons
but I’d need to be in charge of the worst
humanity has to offer
if I’m going to maim someone
it’s going to be a pedophile or a rapist
not a common thief
still
if the devil asked nicely
I’d let him make me do just about anything
to the deservedly damned
