Free books are awesome.
It’s a scientific fact! Books are awesome, and freebies are awesome, so free books are like DOUBLE awesome.
But… I will always tell you if/when a book I’m reviewing was a freebie received in return for a review. It’ll be mentioned first thing in any related post, just to make sure you know what’s what.
That said, my reviews will never be colored by the book’s free-ness. I’m a firm believer in honest book reviews, to the point that I’ve disliked highly popular titles without shame.
A free book doesn’t buy a free pass; the story still has to earn a good review.
