warning signs [poem]

I would make bad choices for you
ignore the alarm bells
and the bright orange warning signs
everything screams no
you are a hazardous decision
driving too fast down
icy streets
but
the adrenaline rush is addictive
hot power flushing my skin
I can’t breathe
your fingers dig into my wrists
holding me here
as if I had the kind of survival instinct to run
I can’t breathe
your body the rock
pinning me to an unforgiving hard place
deliciously trapped here
I can’t breathe
your lips bruise mine
swallowing my unwillingness to protest this
and I just
yes
I would make bad choices for you
